WordCamp Europe 2026 brought nearly 800 contributors together in Kraków, Poland on June 4th. Held at the ICE Kraków Congress Centre, the day gave WordPress community members across dozens of teams the chance to collaborate both in-person and remote on the platform.
The Make WordPress Training Team drew 6 in-person contributors and 7 joining remotely, totalling 13 participants. Table leads @digitalchild and @nikola93n guided conversations at the Training Team’s table, covering how to start contributing, how to navigate the Training Team handbook, and how to identify outdated content that needs refreshing.

The Training Team handbook is a central resource for anyone wanting to contribute to WordPress documentation and learning materials — it outlines processes, roles, and how to find tasks that need attention. For newer contributors, the session also covered the team’s Contributor Badge program, which recognises ongoing participation and can be earned through continued engagement with the team.
To the folks who joined us for the first time, and even some familiar faces, we encourage you to continue to engage with the team in Slack and within your local WordPress communities.

The Training Team holds a regular Triage Squad session on GitHub — a platform used to track and review contributions — every other Thursday at 07:00 UTC. These biweekly sessions are an accessible entry point for contributors who want to help review and prioritise content work without needing to attend a live event.
Anyone who attended Contributor Day, whether in person or online, is encouraged to fill out the Contributor Day Attendee Feedback Form to help the team improve future events. The form is open to both first-timers and returning contributors. The team uses the responses to shape how it runs future Contributor Day tables.
